My current research interests include looking at the effect of social media on science communication, developing strategies to combat public science literacy, and developing a new laboratory course for science students. Science based research includes synthetic biology and applications of biotechnology.

Postdoc: Research: Studying the role of actin nucleator formin 1) Structure and organisation of Golgi apparatus 2) the process of exocytosis using biologically important molecule (cytokine) as model cargos. Set up live cell imaging assays as well as secretion assays to elucidate the role of formins in the secretion of cytokines.
PhD: My project aims at understanding the role of TGN-Golgins in regulating intracellular trafficking using RNA interference technique. Set up both miRNA based and siRNA based silencing techniques for my host lab. Set up different standard trafficking assay to look at the trafficking of different cargo in different RNAi conditions.
