Keeping up with the Red Queen in Higher Education
“Keeping up with the Red Queen in Higher Education” was a one-day teaching symposium organised by SPS on 24th April 2023. The primary objective of the event was to facilitate the sharing and discussion of how we have adapted to changes, both academic and non-academic, confronted challenges, and effectively utilised the wide range of tools available to enhance student learning at NUS. The symposium focused on emerging topics such as assessment methods, Interdisciplinary Modules/Courses (IDMs), ChatGPT, and student engagement. The speakers of the meeting were from the Faculty of Science, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, CDTL, and the NUS Teaching Academy.
The ambience of the gathering was intentionally informal and friendly, creating an atmosphere conducive to sharing and learning. There was also a delightful spread of food to further enhance and invigorate the atmosphere.
This effort was spearheaded by Linda Sellou and Robert Lieu.
