On the subject of the incessent Linux-Windows wars, and as a user of both
Linux and Windows, here is my only opinion on what, precisely, is so wrong with
Windows.
"The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair."
Douglas Adams, Mostly Harmless
Some of my favourite Windows jokes
- Windows '95: 32-bit extensions to a 16-bit graphical shell written to run on an 8-bit operating system originally coded for a
4-bit microprocessor written by a 2-bit software company which can't stand one bit of competition.
