Veterinary Associates Stonefield Pet info center : This site includes useful information about the health care of guinea pigs. A good site to visit should you be in doubt about your guinea pig's health.
NetVet : This site, as its name suggests has links to sites that are written by professionals. A lot of information but not many pictures - more words than you can ask for! Some of the links are good for those of you interested in the nitty-gritty biological details of guinea pigs.
American Cavy Breeders Association : This site is good for those of you who are interested in the knowing more about the different breeds of guinea pigs and how showing is done. There are pictures of almost every show breed and these are put in an organised manner so you know exactly what breed and color you are looking at.
Squeaky.com : This site is really well done and presently, you need a Javascript able browser to fully enjoy it. There are pictures, a forum and lots of other stuff you will learn from and enjoy.

Newsgroups are another resource for finding the infomation you want, provided that readers know the answer to your questions. It's also a good place to discuss theories and so on. Some people post the sale of pets or new website announcements. However, some servers may not have all the newsgroups there are available. There are, of course, the downside and that is the trolls that abound. However, remember to ignore flames and other arguments and go on discussing your beloved pets.
- alt.pets.guinea-pigs This newsgroup discusses only guinea pigs and one should read the FAQ before posting to see what is appropriate. Almost anything to do with guinea pigs finds a place here.
- alt.pets.rodents: This newsgroup allows messages from all rodent owners. Most users have rats and mice or hamsters. Guinea pig messages also make an appearance.
rec.pets: You can post messages on virtually any pet from sugar gliders to cats and dogs.
