Accommodation |
|
The information of housing in Aarhus can be found on http://www.au.dk/en/is/housing.
On campus accommodations are very limited. However, as a college town, Aarhus has many student residences known as Kollegiet (college). I didnĄŻt know my place of residence until I arrived to Aarhus. My mentor Brita brought me to Skejbygårds Kollegiet, a nice gray building with 8 floors. It is a bit expensive to stay in this Kollegiet since my room has everything: big bedroom with great view at the window, a private kitchen with fridge and everything for cooking, and a private bathroom.
The basement has laundry facilities and a bar. We had Thursday bar every Thursday ¨C a small event for students living in the college to get socialized. Since I cannot drink, I had only been there twice ¨C sitting at the bar and talking to my neighbors. We also celebrated various strange but funny Danish festivals here. |
