Mathematics
Allen Hatcher's Homepage
Homepage of Allen Hatcher from Cornell Univ. He's included his book
project on Algebraic Topology in his homepage. I've downloaded his notes,
and read through some parts of them. Overall, they're well written, and
provide the motivations behind the theory of homotopy, homology and
cohomology. On the other hand, they tend to be overly wordy, and I got
a little impatient in the midst of reading some of the sections.
Home Page of J. S. Milne
Milne has put up his course-notes on his homepage. The notes cover advanced
topics on algebra such as Algebraic Geometry and Etale Cohomology.
Excellent reading materials!
William A. Stein's
Homepage
Lots of good stuffs (mostly on modular forms)! Includes, for instance,
course notes by Ken Ribet and Robin Hartshorne; a software for handling
spaces of modular forms (for specific modular groups) etc.
Homepage of E. Lee Lady
No don't be mistaken, Lady is actually a guy. He's included his course
notes in his homepage, so that it's freely available for download. Lots of
topics available, ranging from differential geometry to higher algebra.
There're also some articles on teaching & learning Math, which are a gem
since the road to 'enlightenment' is often long and arduous, even
for the most motivated students.
His non-Math articles are fascinating too, and really distinguish him from
other professors which I know of. Note : I have not met him personally.
20,000 Problems
Under The Sea
Collection of over 20000 math problems, with search engines to
narrow your criteria!
Eric Weisstein's World of
Mathematics
An excellent online dictionary for Math terminology.
Elliptic Curve Handbook
I have downloaded the notes, but have not had the opportunity to read
through. Hence I shan't offer any comments.
Computer
Sizzling HTML
Jalfrezi
An excellent guide to programming in HTML, covers most commonly used
commands extensively, with numerous illustrations and examples.
The Programmer's File Format
Collection
For technical junkies who want to know how DCTs (Discrete Cosine
Transforms) are implemented in JPEG, or who need to write their own
PDF viewer.
Music
Huji Leisure City (down, probably permanently)
Excellent collection of .ra (Real Audio files) on the latest Chinese
pop scene. Even contains some oldies from the 80s to mid-90s.
Boxup Music
Another MP3 website, and again it contains the later albums. Download
speed is slightly slower than footy, but the links are more reliable.
Lonely Boy's Site
Much more superior than the previous two sites (in terms of quantity
and reliability), but the download rate is slower.
Music MilkyWay
Yet another music website, but can't tell you much about it,
because I'm not a frequent patron. However, some of my friends recommend it.
Records of Taiwan
Music
Yet another lyrics homepage situated at Geocities. Huge, but doesn't
offer visitors to sample the music.
Lyrics Storage
Ok, another one.
Lyrics From Taiwan Maxwell BBS
Yet another one.
Entertainment
Movies Online
If you're living in Singapore at the moment, this page would come
in handy, listing the movie times at the various cinemas. Reviews are
available for some of the movies.
Internet Movie Database
Contains information of over 150,000 movies! If you wish to find
information of a particular movie, this would be it. As an alternative,
you may search by country, year of production, genre or actors/actresses.
ScreenIt!
This site was originally intended as a guide to parents, to examine
whether certain elements in a movie are desirable. But I use it to
check how much a film has been butchered at our local censorship board.

If you're a fan of this "cute" little shark, you'd no doubt have heard
of the page before.
